ShaadiSeason was created while planning my own wedding — navigating endless search engines, social media platforms, and word-of-mouth advice while using wedding websites that didn't truly cater to our unique cultural experiences.
Throughout the process, I became a go-to resource for other brides planning their special day because of the information and vendor knowledge I had gathered. That's when I realized desi brides already have enough on their plates — the last thing they need is to spend countless hours researching vendors across disconnected platforms.
After a year and a half of planning, research, and testing, I found a way to create a simple, easy-to-use vendor directory designed specifically for our communities. ShaadiSeason is a space to celebrate our cultures, traditions, and weddings while remaining inclusive and customizable for all backgrounds, religions, and celebrations.
I also wanted to support small businesses and talented vendors who may not have websites or large followings. ShaadiSeason gives them a place to showcase their work, connect with couples, and grow — without competing in the overwhelming numbers game of social media.
Most importantly, ShaadiSeason was created to build a trusted space where couples and vendors can connect, communicate, and find everything they need to plan one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
